Reliable and comprehensive information contributes considerably to the passengers' satisfaction. Even more: if the passengers know the remaining wait time, they subjectively perceive it to be shorter. With our passenger information systems, we support you in informing your passengers in the best way possible. No matter if they're in the vehicle, at the stop, or on their way.
More passenger service at the stop Will my bus be on time? When does the next tram leave? Dynamic passenger information systems give answers to these questions. Dynamic, because passengers are not only informed about the scheduled, but also about the actual departure time. The supply of the displays with current data is performed automatically via the ATRIES-ITCS. Only the deviations from the scheduled data are transferred and thus, the communication costs are reduced to a minimum. Additionally, the control centre personnel has the possibility to send current information to the individual displays or display groups in form of special texts.
Independent of manufacturer or size, all kinds of different displays can be supplied with real-time information via the ATRIES ITCS.
Information in the vehicles
Even during the journey, your passengers should not have to do without extensive information. Interior displays and loudspeakers give information about the next stop, the course of the journey and the destination. In this process, the ATRON on-board computers play a special role. They provide all peripheral devices, which are necessary for passenger information, with the required data.
DiPi - current departure times to your mobile phone
Timetable information via text message? No problem! Dynamic individual passenger information, short DiPi, makes this service possible. The passenger sends a text message with the stop number or name to the information server of the transport company. The response contains the next departure times at this stop. For detailed information, it is possible to limit the search to certain times, routes and directions. The delay subscription offers additional services: the passenger signs up for selected journeys on the Internet and is informed on time by text message in case of a delay.
The real-time information, which is already available in ATRIES ITCS, is the basis for the DiPi-information. DiPi is thus the ideal addition to your passenger information infrastructure. Especially in areas with small passenger volumes, DiPi has proven to be a low-cost alternative to stationary dynamic displays.
